I'll read the 4th but I'll read it myself as I do with all of the shorter novels.
I listen to the longer ones. This threesome is worth a read. I gave it four stars.
Jim Knightbhorse is a neat guy and I wish I could meet someone like him except for the drinking part. I enjoyed this series. It was positive; the good guys won. There may have been a touch of improbability, but that did not distract from my enjoyment. The main character, Jim Knighthorse, is the son of a minor character in one of the Moon Series. This series has no vampires, werewolves etc, and is set in the current U. Jim is starting his own agency and in book one, we see his internal battle for which direction his life should take while he solves a murder of a high school student.
I particularly love the conversations he has with the vagrant in his local McDonald's. Asking him question I have sometimes thought. This book, being a collection of 3 was worth it's credit but if I had to buy them separately, I would think twice as each book is only 4 to 5 hours in length.
I can say I really enjoyed the 3 in 1 and would recommend it. One Acre Audio Books. Free with day Trial Membership details Membership details A day trial plus your first audiobook, free. Publisher's Summary A set of three 1 bestselling mystery novels featuring private investigator, Jim Knighthorse, including: Rain P J.
He's the author of Moon Dance, that I reviewed last column. The author is a private investigator, and it shows; this is another fast moving and entertaining detective story.

Rain is surely destined for larger success, if he can get the right break; his fiction is fun reading. I enjoyed it immensely - very good story, J. I really liked your dialogue, which kept me chuckling each time I sat down to read the book. Add great character and scene descriptions and a well-paced plot, and you've got a gripping story indeed. I can honestly say your book was as entertaining as anything I've ever read from Patricia Cornwell.
I can easily see Dark Horse moving to the big screen! A great classic detective story with a modern twist. Getting across his ideas in a clear and concise manner, the story is accurate as well as engaging, with a real sense of personality underpinning it all. Set in California this time it really gets a feel for the open expanse of the desert there, really working to make the most of it.
Jim Knighthorse Anthology
Creating a stage almost, Rain manages to build a sense of drama through the history of the location, as he really brings it to life. Again it is utilized almost as a character, as it allows the action to come to life through its building of suspense and drama. The character of Jim Knighthorse himself is still just as resourceful as he ever was, a little older and a little wiser from the previous novel. Rain maintains a sense of empathy with the character, though, which is a difficult feat to pull off given the characters ego, something which a lesser writer may have failed at.
Keeping him engaging and charismatic he resonates with the reader on a more grounded and realistic level throughout. Finding himself faced with a mystery that goes a long way back, Jim Knighthorse realizes that he may have his work cut out for him. How did Willie really die? Who is the real culprit? What is the secret behind the mummy case?
Jim Knighthorse Series by J.R. Rain
Created to follow the mystery genre, whilst simultaneously branching out on their own, these novels have created their own niche in the industry. The leading protagonist of Jim Knighthorse is also a grounded one, despite having a high ego, thus ensuring that he will endure for many years to come. One of my favourite series is the Brilliance Saga by Marcus Sakey and it is our featured series of the month. It's just an incredible light sci-fi series that fans of "Dark Matter" would also enjoy. It's free on Kindle Unlimited too! Any authors or characters we're missing that we should add?
